Charles A. Alder, 64, of Greenville Road, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday at Pinecrest Manor after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p in. Tuesday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with the Revs. Steve Hussing and James Talley officiating, and burial in Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Christian County, he was born Dec. 16, 1926, son of the late John H. and Bertha Elizabeth Pringle Alder. He was a retired cutter at International Shoe Factory and also was retired from Autostyle. He was a member of Dogwood Christian Church, an Army veteran and a member of Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows. His wife, Mary Harrell Alder, died March 5, 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Goode Braboy, Hopkinsville; a brother, John L. Mder, Hopkinsville; and two grandchildren.
