Mrs. Mary Anderson Pettyjohn, Cains Store, died Friday after an illness of six weeks.

The daughter of the late Jack and Sarah Bray Anderson, she was born October 13, 1878 at New Hope. She was married to the late Robert Pettyjohn in 1900.

Mrs. Pettyjohn had lived in the county all her life and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following children, Winnie Tarter, West Somerset, Emmer Pettyjohn, Mrs. Annie Dye, Fayette Pettyjohn, and Henry Pettyjohn all of Cains Store, Brock Pettyjohn, Ohio, Lola Carter, Russell Springs, and Mrs. Nannie Ware, Somerset; and two brothers, John Anderson, Illinois and Elmer Anderson, West Somerset.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the residence at Cains Store with the Rev. Chester Daulton officiating. Burial was in the Cains Store Cemetery.

Somerset Undertaking Company in charge of arrangements.
