Margaret A. "Peggy" Freeman, 72 of 308 West Fifth Avenue, Clearfield died on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on December 30, 1931 in Osceola Mills, a daughter of the late Edward R. and Robie (Myers) Perks.
Mrs. Freeman was employed for 5 years with the Clearfield Electric Coop and also was a saleswoman with the Fuller Brush Company. Following the birth of her children, she remained at home to raise them. She was a life long member of West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
On May 15, 1954 in St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, she wed her husband Richard C. Freeman, who survives and with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage with this past Saturday.
She is also survived by three children,
Cathleen A. Berry and husband Hugh Chalfont
Robert L. Freeman and wife Mary E. Erie
Karen E. Harvey and husband Charles J. Philadelphia
and seven grandchildren,
Daniel, Michael and Brian Berry, Katherine and Elizabeth Freeman and Christopher and Brielle Harvey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Coxey.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Friday from 9 -10:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Hospital Home Health Services, 440 Front Street, Clearfield or West Side United Methodist Church - Organ Fund, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield.
