John Jenswold
Long-time Madison lawyer John Jenswold died Monday after more than 50 years of practicing law and 37 years as a reserve officer in the Marine Corps.
Jenswold was primarily a defense attorney in civil damage suits representing insurance companies and their clients in federal and circuit courts throughout Wisconsin.-
He was well-known as leader in the legal community. In 1980, Jenswold also served as president of the short-lived Chicago, Madison and Northern Railway which provided freight service on short pieces of track. He had a special interest in railroads and preserving railroad history.
