Roger Rabon Simmons, 75, formerly of Ash, NC died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in the Autumn Care Nursing Home, Shallotte, NC. Mr. Simmons was born May 9, 1936 in Columbus County, NC to the late Bias and Genevia Simmons. He was preceded in death by his son Roger Wayne Simmons. Surviving is his wife Zella Mae Simmons of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a daughter Sabrina Blankenship, husband David, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; and four grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 30, 2012 at 4:00 PM in the New Britton Baptist Church Cemetery by the Reverend Sterling Sarvis.
