The village was later given to her as a present and was renamed in her honour to Oranienburg. She built a castle there and it became her favorite place to stay. Over the years the love between the couple flourish and the marriage became very happy. She developed great influence on her husband. They traveled all over the country and rebuilt it after the destructions of the thirty years war. She founded schools and orphanages. In her gardens grew the first potatoes of the country.
