Mr. Bailie was the son of the late Hugh Bailie and Marjorie Guggenheim Bailie of Oxford. He had been employed by Milford Fabricating Inc. for 21 years as its general manager. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, UConn basketall, motorcycles, computers, coaching sports and loved music.
His survivors in addition to his wife, Deborah Malyszka Bailie are his mother, Marjorie; sons, Scott M. of Greenbelt, MD and Michael J. of Oxford; his brother, Kevin of Oxford; his sisters, Penny Phipps and her husband, Richard, of Oxford and Kathy Benton and her husband, Roger, of Mesa, AZ; his mother-in-law, Loretta Malyszka of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.
