Etta Huddleston Adams, age 99, of Murfreesboro, passed on November 28, 2011 at NHC Northside Healthcare. She was a native of Wilson County but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. Etta was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ and a homemaker. Etta is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Anthony Huddleston and Effie Elizabeth Patterson Huddleston; and husband, Hector Floyd Adams. She is survived by her son, Don (Nelda) Adams of Murfreesboro; daughter, Judy (Kenneth) Adamson of Murfreesboro; sister, Hermene Lea of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Robbie Adams, Debbie Konkle and Mike Adamson; great-grandchildren, Cody Konkle, Garrett Adamson and Gage Adamson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Milton Cemetery with Tony Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow with grandsons and nephews serving as active pallbearers. The visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home; 820 S. Church St., Murfreesboro, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stones River Manor.
