Mrs. Shroyer retired after teaching 22 years in the Jay School Corporation. She had lived in Dunkirk for over 60 years.
Born Aug 29, 1908, in Winchester, she was the daughter of Gola and Delia (Cranfill) McCune. She was married to Joe A. Shroyer who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Shroyer was a member of the Reasearch Club of Dunkirk, Dunkirk Career Women, Dunkirk Elks Auxilliary and the Monday and Thursday Bridge Club. She was also a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Warren, RR2, Union City, and Mrs. Loren (JoAnn) Holbrook, Muncie; two brothers, James McCune, Dunkirk, and Howard McCune, Greencastle; one sister, Lucille Knife, Eaton; six grandchildren, two great gradndchildrenn and several nieces and nephews.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday in MJS Mortuaries DW Jones Chapel, Dunkirk, with Rev. Scott Pattison officiating. Burial will be in the Dunkirk IOOF Cemetary.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
