Betty Lacumsky, 83, Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, November 28, at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton.
She was born November 3, 1925 in Clyde, the daughter of Alexander and Effie G. (Lacey) Ray. She married Gilbert A. Lacumsky on July 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1988.
She worked as a cashier clerk for W. R. Thomas Store in Oak Harbor from 1959-1972 and at Quality Farm & Fleet in Fremont from 1972-1988, when she retired. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ Church in Oak Harbor; American Legion Post 114 Auxiliary; and a past president in TOPS in Oak Harbor.
Survivors include a daughter Suzanne (Rollin) Grosjean of Oak Harbor; and sons, Paul A. (Virginia) Lacumsky of Oak Harbor and Donald G. (Andrea) Lacumsky of Oak Harbor; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma G. Wroten of Paradise Pines, Calif. and Barbara A. Bishop of Marion, and a brother, Glen V. Ray of Littleton, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents;; her husband, Gilbert, an infant son, William Lacumsky; a son, Wilbur R. Lacumsky; and stepfather, Jesse Griffith.
Visitation was Sunday, December 2, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Oak Harbor.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 3, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. David Voll, officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor.
