Jason and Ruth initially settled in Amarillo, Texas, where their first son, John Cecil was born, and then moved to Buhl, Idaho where three more children were born. They finally moved to Hemet, California in 1932 where they had their last four children. They remained in the Valle Vista district of Hemet for the rest of their lives.
Jason had served in the Army in WWI and, as a civilian, was a farmer and a turkey rancher. He was laid to rest in the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery next to Nora Ruth, who had passed away just two and one-half months earlier.
