He and his wife settled in the Pennfield Downs section of Havertown, and later moved to Valley Forge Towers in King of Prussia.

Harry Walter Neff died on February 24, 1988, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, when he was 80 years old.

Harry died of stomach cancer, although treated at Temple University Hospitall, he died at home with his daughter Valerie, and wife Helen in attendance.
