Carl I. Bonner, 87, of rural Huntington, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1925, in Huntington County, to Guy H. and Dessie M. (Waters) Bonner. He married Imagean Benson on Dec. 30, 1945, in Markle; she survives.

Other surviving relatives include two sons, Mark Bonner of Huntington and Brian Bonner of Greenwood; three daughters, Darlene Chaffin of Delta Junction, Alaska, Linda Beck of Markle and Carla Herbert of Huntington; two brothers, Guy Bonner, Jr. of Huntington and Paul Bonner of Huntington; two sisters, Eileen Lyons of Findley, Ohio and Alma Jean Culver of Roan; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlotte Kizer, Maxine Hamrick and Tenna Bonner; three brothers, Loyle Bonner, Leonard Bonner and Emmett Bonner; and a granddaughter.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.
