Miss Isobel I. Rodgers died 13 Feburary 1912 at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. C.M. Rodgers, seven miles northwest of Monmouth, cancer being the cause of her death. She was born in Missouri in 1830 and for some twenty years lived in Monmouth and later northwest of the city. She left one brother, S.W. Rodgers of San Jose, California and one sister, Mrs. Mary T. Graham of Monmouth. The funeral was held at the Rodgers residence with Reverend Samuel Brown of Sugar Tree Grove in charge and burial was in the Sugar Tree Grove cemetery.
