He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He came to Fairfield in 1946 and worked at Travis Air Force Base for over 40 years as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
Robert is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Carol and Tom Wright of Las Vegas, Nev.; Janis and Anthony Nassar of Novato, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Wright of Las Vegas; and Ryan and Elsa Nassar of Novato. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Shirley (Crouthamel) Embry.
Graveside services will be held at noon, March 9, 2012, at the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery, 1707 Union Avenue, Fairfield.
