Richard H. Clark, 75, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Elane Clark. The service will be at 2 p.m. EDT today, May 3, at Faith Horizon Ministries, 1064 N. Pinetree Blvd. in Thomasville, Ga. The viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Tallahassee Memory Gardens with full military honors. Pallbearers will be LeDon Clark, David Brandon, Julius Glover, Rob Kuhn, Chris Williamson and T.J. Ard. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Mr. Clark served as an aviation ordnanceman in the U.S. Navy always stationed on aircraft carriers. He served three tours in Vietnam. His ship rescued the Pueblo from the Koreans. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1973 and retired from the City of Tallahassee in 1991. He was a native of Gadsden County and had lived in Tallahassee since 1957. Other survivors include son William "Bill" Clark; daughter Cynthia M. Christopher (husband Pastor Jeff); brother Charles Clark (wife Edna); sisters Peggie Brandon and Dora Coleman (husband Ervin); several nieces and nephews; church family and many friends; Robert Hand, brother-in-law; five grandchildren, Adam Goodman (Leah), Amber Wiggins (Jim), Amanda Christopher, Robin Clark and Roddy Suber; four great-grandchildren, Dillon Suber, Faith Suber, Autumn Wiggins and Chris Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Doc Clark and Richard Clark.
