Raymond T. Rager, 68, of 109 Merry Lane, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday at his home. Born in Butler on Nov. 2, 1924, he was the son of Raymond C. and Leona Daugherty Rager. He had been employed as a furnace tender at Armco Advanced Materials Co. Mr. Rager was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and belonged to the Joseph T. Black Post 249 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are a son, R. Thomas Rager of Berthoud, Colo.; two daughter, Mrs. Kathleen L. Casper of Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Barry (Joni) Wolfe of Marysville; two sisters, Mrs. S.W. (Ruth) Griffin and Mrs. Wayne (Jean) Graham, both of Butler; nine grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara L. "Sally" McCanna Rager, who died April 6, 1990; and by two brothers. RAGER-Friends of Raymond T. Rager of 109 Merry Lane, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1993, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger R. Shaffer, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice Program, Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler.
