The youth was a son of Charles E. and Mrs. Sigmon of Claremont and is survived by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed today, but it was expected the services will be held Sunday at the Claremont Lutheran church. The Drum Funeral home ambulance from Conover left this morning for Richmond to get the body and was expected back some time tonight.
Young Sigmon was stricken ill suddenly while attending a baseball game in Hickory about a week ago. He was seized with a severe headache and then became blind. A day of two later, he was taken to the Richmond hospital.
The deceased was a second cousin of Mrs. George Sigmon, secretary to Dr. C. L. Hunsucker, of Hickory. Published in Hickory Daily Record, 8/24/1934.
