This is my grandma Nelson's gravestone. She is my dad's mother. She is pictured here with my grandfather.
She was born to Elin Antonia (Anderson) Littler and Frank Done Littler.
When she was 3 years old, her father died suddenly leaving her mother and her and her siblings behind.
My great Grandma Littler was devastated and had a mental breakdown. She was put in Western State Hospital in Steilcoom WA for the remainder of her life, which was about 38 years.
The children were all put in other homes. My grandmother was adopted by a family with the last name "Jones". She later found her birth mother at WSH and took a job there where she took care of her mother until her death on Nov. 1, 1954.
My Grandma Nelson was married to my grandfather Alfred Peter Nelson on January 2, 1932. My grandfather died in 1943. My grandma Nelson then married another man whose last name was also Nelson. His name was Ernest W. Nelson. He was born in 1896 and died in 1974. My grandmother is burried at:
