~In Remembrance of John Roy Stewart. Roy Stewart was a popular silent film actor who appeared in over 100 films, (primarily westerns) from the early 1910s until the year of his death. His most prominent role was with Mary Pickford in her beloved classic, "Sparrows." His career continued into sound films, wherein he appeared in small roles, including "King Kong." Born in San Diego on October 7, 1883, he suffered a fatal heart attack in his Los Angeles home on April 26, 1933 and was returned to San Diego for burial.~
