Lucy Pauline Crowe, 87, of Millers Tavern, VA, died Monday, July 17, 2000 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie Augustus Courtney; and son, Leslie Augustus Courtney Jr.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Alvin Roy Crowe; six daughters, Evelyn C. Cheek of Richmond, Helen C. Chinault of Tappahannock, Mary C. Hazelwood of Toano, Catherine C. Williams of Warsaw, Ruth C. Skelton of Mechanicsville and Barbara C. Scott of Warsaw; two sisters, Ruth Kane of Norge, VA, and Martha Brizendine of Toano; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, at 2 p.m. at the Smyrna Christian Church, Bruington, VA, with interment in the church cemetery. B.W. White Funeral Home of Aylett, VA, has charge of arrangements.
