MAYODAN, NC — Ruben Willard Gray, 92, of Ayersville Road, died Friday, February 10, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Beaver Island Baptist Church. A private interment will be held in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gray was born June 18, 1919, in Randolph County, to the late John Ruben Gray and Dora Sawyer Gray.
He was a WWII, US Navy veteran, a past employee of Burlington Industries Inc, and retired from MacField Inc.
"Bill" was a faithful member of Beaver Island Baptist Church and a committed Gideon.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Hazel Gann Gray; sons, Mark Gray (Esther) of Greensboro and John Gray (Wendy) of Lancaster, SC; and ten grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church and all other times at the residence.
