Crossville Chronicle March 18, 1937

Henry M Welch, age 79, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the home of his son, Ralph T Welch, after several weeks' illness.
Funeral services were held at the M E Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev F M Goss of Kingston, former pastor here, in charge.
Burial took place in the City cemetery with the I O O F Lodge giving their impressive services.
Mr Welch was born December 29, 1857, reared in this county, residing here with the exception of 13 years which were spent in Idaho.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Martha Welch; 6 sons, L F, Portland, Or; M B, Rio Tinto, NV; Robert, Twin Falls, ID; R T, Albert and James, all of whom reside here, and one daughter, Mrs Addie Wright, Buhl, ID; 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In the passing of Mr Welch the county suffers a distinct loss for throughout his long and useful life he lived as a Christian gentleman and was faithful to the noble and high principles that show strongest for good citizenship and a kind and friendly neighbor.
