Henry W. Donat, 82, a resident of Peru since 1912, died at Dukes Memorial hospital Sunday afternoon following several months' illness of complications.

He was born at Madison June 1, 1858, one of eight children of Henry J. and Mary Ann Donat, and was married to Miss Mary Ann Smith in 1882. They were the parents of nine children, four of whom are deceased. Mrs. Donat died in 1932 and a son, Frank, in 1938. Children surviving are William H. Donat and Mrs. Walter Snyder of Detroit, Mich., George Donat of Denver, Mrs. E. D. Holland of Peru and Charles Donat of Ohio. fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Donat was a cabinet maker by trade and held in high esteem by all who knew him. Funeral services probably will be held at the St. Charles Catholic church, of which he was a member, at 9 o'clock (D.S.T.) Wednesday morning. The body will remain at the Wayne Ladd funeral home until time of the funeral and friends may call there at any time.
