Youth Meets Accidental Death
Paul Brown, aged about 17 years, son of Oliver Brown, of near Maximo, was almost instantly killed by the accidental discharge of a shot gun Tuesday morning. The boy had taken the gun out to a field to shoot crows and had been seated upon a harrow. Upon rising the hammer of the gun caught in some part of the harrow and the gun was discharged, the load entering the body in the pit of the right arm. The boy walked about 150 feet and fell dead. The body was carried to the house and Coroner Douds was called. Later the body was prepared for burial by Undertaker Paquelet. The father and several brothers and sisters are living. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church this morning.
