Royse K. Wright, 65, RFD 1, secretary of the LaPorte County Alcoholic Beverage Commission and vice-president of the LaCrosse Grain Company, died of an apparent heart seizure at the home early today.
A life-long area resident, he was born September 9, 1901, in Roselawn, Ind., the son of Charles and Flossie (Baxter) Wright. On October 17, 1921 in St. Joseph, Mich., he married Esther Baske, who survives.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.
Surviving besides the widow are three daughters, Mary Ann, at home, Mrs. June Boilini, LaPorte, and Mrs. Janice Davis, Tefft; one son, Robert, LaCrosse; three sisters, Mrs. Florence French, LaPorte, Mrs. Mildred Vick, Hanna, and Mrs. Avis Hornsby, Wanatah; six brothers, Hillis, Herschel, Doane and Burdette, all of Hanna; Dewitte, LaCrosse, and Dewar, Wanatah; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Peek Funeral Home, Wanatah, with the Revs. Russell Richardson and William Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.
