Mrs. Royse (Esther A.) Wright, 71, a resident of Wanatah for four years coming from LaCrosse, died Sunday at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso.
She was born April 17, 1903 in Hanna, daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Batzka) Baske. On October 17, 1921 at St. Joseph, Mich., she was married to Royse Wright, who preceded her in death July 15, 1967.
She is survived by a son, Robert of LaCrosse; three daughters, Mary at home, Mrs. June Boilini of LaPorte and Mrs. Janice Davis of Wheatfield; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Baske of Hollywood, Calif., and two sisters, Miss Myrtle Mae Baske of Hollywood and Mrs. Betty Whelan of Santa Rosa, Calif.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Peek Funeral Home, with the Rev. William J. Bertsch, Salem United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Heart Fund.
