Age 62, of Sutherlin, Oregon,- A stoic 2 ½ year battle against cancer ended peacefully at home Thursday, January 19, 2012. Peggi, born February 16th, 1949, to Thomas and Mary "Peg" (Baird) Sutton resided in the Sutherlin area all her life.

Graduated SHS [Sutherlin High School] in 1967, remaining friends with many, she helped plan class reunions. Worked at the A & W before attending U.C.C. [Umpqua Community College] to study Medical Office in 1975.

Dr. Donald Wonderly opened Accent on Women's Health in 2002 with Peggi as Office Manager. Dr. Wonderly, wife, Brenda, and the staff were Peggi's second family.

Peggi enjoyed small town life, a large extended family and Scottish Pride. Orchestrated Baird Family Annual Celebration and explored family history through genealogy. Peggi created beautiful handmade crafts; her occasion cards, quilts, and crocheting were valued by many recipients over the years. Travel centered on family and historic sites. Her daughter and grandchildren her greatest love.

She is survived by her brother Dennis "Butch" Sutton of Sutherlin. Daughter Lori Waller and grandson Thomas Praytor, both of Sutherlin and granddaughter Amy Waller of Salem, Oregon. Numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Tom and Peg (Baird) Sutton.

Memorial services will be held Friday, January 27th, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Calapooia Free Methodist Church 333 Church Road in Sutherlin. Pastor Stewart Fowler, officiating. There will be a potluck to follow.

A private family interment will be held at Coles Valley Cemetery.
