This is MY story and I OWN the copyright to it, not Ancestry.
Ebenezer is my 3rd great-grandfather.

Ebenezer Pratt was the son of Joseph Pratt, an American Revolutionary soldier and Esther Blood. Earlier in life he was involved with a glassworks, I believe in Clarksburg, MA.
Ebenezer came to Wauconda in 1854 with his son, John Aldrich Pratt & his family. There is no wife buried with him which suggests Lydia is probably buried in or near Stamford, VT as probably Sarah/Sally more than likely is.

Ebenezer was married twice. He married Sarah Aldredg September 25, 1803. After her death he married Lydia Aldrich. All 3 were living in Clarksburg, Berkshire, MA at the time of their marriages in Stamford, VT. I believe Sarah and Lydia were related.
Sarah Aldredg his first wife & mother of 5 children;
Prudence who married Eseck Harris.
Mary married Nathaniel Gilbert Hathaway.
Celestia married Thomas Adams.
Esther also married Nathaniel Gilbert Hathaway.
John Aldrich Pratt, married Lydia Maria Webster in Stamford, Bennington Co. Vt.

Sarah, also called Sally, died in 1818 at age 32 when John was 2yrs old. I cannot find her burial. Looking at 1810 census she may have been born about 1785.
There had been a far away volcanic eruption of Mt. Tambora which occurred on 10 April 1815. Prior to that there had been one in 1814 of Mt. Mayon . This caused what is termed "The year without summer" in 1816. The ash cloud covered the sky around the world causing crop failures and tens of thousands deaths, many from typhus.

Ebenezer then married Lydia Aldrich June 28 1818. They had at least 2 children, Amos & Henry, but it would make sense there were more given the distance in time between births of those known sons. I cannot find the burial of Lydia (Aldrich) Pratt.

Prudence, married Eseck Harris She is buried in Galien, MI with family members.

Some of Eseck's relatives emigrated to Illinois and are buried in Wauconda Cemetery.
