Alene was the second of four children born to John Cecil Sr. and Donna Mae (Kivett) Stevenson. She married James Everett Fox in 1933 and they were the parents of three children: James Richard, Charles Max and Donna Carol.

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Aleene Stevenson Fox, 68, of Route 6 died Thursday at Wesley Long Community Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Elvin Bumgarner and the Rev. Charlie Hoyle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Jerry Lloyd of Hilton Head, S. C.; sons, James and Charles Fox of Burlington; brothers, Paul, Howard and J. C. Stevenson of Liberty, Johnny Stevenson of Asheboro.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the church building fund.
