She immigrated in 1885 and it does NOT show she was naturalized. There are five children but for the oldest two, Millie and Lee, it shows their Mother was born in Alabama & for the three youngest, Carle, Aurthor and Henry, she was born in Germany. This census also shows that the wife, Bettie, had a total of 3 children with 3 living.
The 1880 Federal Census dated 2nd June shows Jacob with wife Bertha, son Abe (5), daughter Mille (4) and son Leopole (1), living in City of Calvert, Robertson County, Texas. His occupation is listed as "restorant". It shows Jacob was born in Prussia (his parents also), Bertha in La (her parents in Bavaria) and the children in Texas.
