He arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Lydia and signed the declaration of oath on 9 October 1749.
Shortly thereafter, he removed to Tulpehocken, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
On 8 October 1764, he paid £44 13s 6d for the passage of Bressler relatives from Palatinate [Germany] to Philadelphia on the ship King of Prussia.
He was warranted over 210 acres of land in Pine Grove, Berks County (present-day Schuylkill County), Pennsylvania on 11 March 1767.
