Frank D. Dickey, age 85, of 2929 W. Emory Road, Powell, TN, passed away on January 15, 2012 at the Tennova Hospice in Knoxville, TN.

Mr. Dickey was a native of Murphy, NC and the son of the late Frank D., Sr. and Lelia Elliott Dickey. He previously worked for Vestal Lumber Company in Erwin, TN and later worked for Hearin Lumber Company, Clear Water, FL for more than 30 years. He was then a co-owner in Fort Myers Lumber Company, Ft. Myers, FL. Frank served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Frank Dickey leaves behind: Wife: Margaret Clark Dickey of Powell, TN; Sons: Richard D. Dickey of Ft. Myers, FL, Douglas D. Dickey of Irvine, CA; Daughters: Terri Bogenrief of Ft. Myers, FL, Vickie Bailey of Powell, TN; Brother: Thomas Elliott Dickey of FL; 8 Grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. Chris Ward will officiate. Military graveside honors will be under the direction of the Tennessee National Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
