In 1905 he married Noemie Augustine Teissier of the Bourbon Plantation in St James Parish and later moved, in 1918, to New Orleans.
He became an agent of the New York Life Insurance Company in 1912, retiring in 1962. In recent years he made his home with his daughter Evelyn Frey Kuntz of Ranch Cordova, CA..
Mr. Frey was a member of the board of the Globe Homestead Association, the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks, the American Legion Crescent City Post 125 and was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his daughter, survivors include a son, Dr. Charles Teissier Frey of Cedar Falls Colorado , 8 grandsons and 12 great grandchildren.
