RUBY ROBERTSON PHILLIPS, a resident of Justin, Texas, was born Jan. 20, 1913, in Roger Mills County, Okla., a daughter of Clifton and Margaret (Wesson) White. She departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, in Grapevine, Texas, at the age of 90.
Ruby was a homemaker. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Green Forest. She was a member of Easter Star in Green Forest and Rebecca Lodge in Lawton, Oklahoma.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara and her husband, Harry Branscum of Grapevine, Texas; and Marilyn and her husband, Steve Scaggs of Keller, Texas; three sons, Alton Robertson, Jr. of Hooker, Okla.; Jack and his wife, Peggy Robertson of Green Forest, Arkansas; and Dalton and his wife, Heide Robertson of Vernheim, Germany; two step daughters, Virginia Usrey of Berryville, Arkansas, and Dixie and her husband, John Spicer of Lampe, Mo; a step son, Levi and his wife, Sally Phillips of Berryville; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lela Mae George of Friona, Texas.
In May of 1932, she was united in marriage with Alton Robertson who preceded her in death. In August 1985 she married Claud Phillips who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Margaret White.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church in Green Forest with Rev. David Hanshaw officiating.
