There has been some confusion about the year of her birth. Her grave marker indicates 1898, but my Mother's notes (her daughter - Madeline) lists 1899. I also have a handwritten note by Rosa where she lists her year of birth as 1899. She was listed in the 1900 census as age 1. Because of the incomplete nature of many birth records at that time, its possible she listed or was listed with a 1898 date when she applied for social security or some other records... My guess is 1899 based on Rosa's own handwritten note.
