Arthur Harvey Stewart was named for both his grandfathers. Arthur Kenyon Dison and Harrison Harvey Stewart. Family called him Harvey but friends in later years knew him as Art. He retired from the US Army in 1968. He became JROTC Instructor at Carroll High School from 1969 until retirement in 1994. He was a deacon in Daleville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Toyoko Kobayashi Stewart.

Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Ann and William F. Kerns, Columbus, GA; Judy Ann Stephens, Ashford, AL and her fiance, Ben Wingard, Meigs, Ga; two grandsons, Cody and Dalton Kearns; two brothers, Rex Gordon Stewart, Sylacauga, AL; Charles Edgar Stewart, Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Gertie Mae Gier, Childersburg, AL; Zona Elizabeth Glosson, Butler, AL.

Funeral Services: April 18, 2009 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel of Enterprise, AL with Rev. Judson Waldrop officiating.
