Gretna - A funeral for Jessie Gelon Vuncannon, 70, of Gretna Rt. 1 will be held tomorrow at Colbert-Moran Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Carolton Dix. Burial will be in Gretna Burial Park.
Mr. Vuncannon died yesterday at his residence.
He was born in Montgomery County, N.C., a son of the late John T. Vuncannon and Louisa Boraughs Vuncannon. He was a retired farmer and member of Southall Baptist Church.
Mr. Vuncannon is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera Todd Vuncannon; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Brown, Greta and Mrs. Clarence C. Henderson, Danville; a son, Addison Vuncannon, Hurt; a sister, Miss Lelia Vuncannon, Troy, N.C.; two brothers, Eddie Vuncannon and Lonnie Vuncannon, both of Troy, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
The body is at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
