Alberta never married - The only picture I have of her is in a family group photo when she was about 20 yrs old. [She is the female standing behind her seated mother(Susie) in the photo]

Special note: The row of markers/slabs for the James Henry Cribbs family have been placed there by unknowing persons/family. In 1978, when my mother (James Henry Cribbs' granddaughter) and I were visiting, she told me, as we were facing the graves, that the grave closest to the road/church was James Williams(1893), James Henry Cribbs' maternal grandfather. Next were James' twin son's by his 1st wife(Sarah), one still born(1894), the other three yr old John Daniel Cribbs(1898). Next was Sarah Laura Dukes Cribbs(1906), James' 1st wife; beside Sarah was James Henry Cribbs(1936). The next space was a sunken area where 10 yr old Mary Melissa Cribbs (1910), James & Sarah's daughter was buried. Beside her was a very small sunken area where the still born infant(1917) of James' 2nd wife was buried. Beside the infant was a bare space we assumed was James' 2nd wife Susie who was buried 4 yrs earlier, no slab-no marker. Beside that space was Alberta Lourina Cribbs(1935) marked with a extra wide slab, Susie's 1st born with James . Beside Alberta was another small sunken area where her 7 yr old brother James Leroy Cribbs(1920) was buried. We assumed Susie had been buried between her still born & her daughter Alberta. Beside James Leroy was Susie & James' son John Henry Cribbs(1944). Between John Henry and the fence was John Henry's older brother Rufus Henry Cribbs(1947) no slab-no marker.
In 1958 there were only slabs on John Henry, Alberta, James Henry, Sarah's graves. There were no markers on any of the graves. When we visited in 1978 there were markers on James Henry, Sarah and John Henry's graves. and a new slab next to James Henry, but no marker. We assumed the new slab next to James Henry was Mary Melissa's because there was no marker and we knew that was where she was buried.
Seeing the new photos of the Cribbs burial row it seems Alberta's slab has been moved to the left and know covers both her and her brother James Leroy. It appears whoever placed the marker for Susie next to James did not know it was Mary's grave not Susie's. Or, when Susie was buried Mary was moved between Alberta and the infant and Susie was buried next to James and the slab was replaced over Susie, leaving Mary's grave unmarked. It is unlikely that Rebecca's family knew about the unmarked graves so Rebecca was buried in the same area as her mother's still born child. Such a small grave would not have been noticed by a grave digger. So Susie & Rebecca are buried in Mary & the infants graves. I do not know if Susie's grandson Thurman W. Williams Jr(2007), is buried between John Henry & Rufus Henry or if Thurman is buried in Rufus' grave. It is a shame Little Flock has not kept records of the early burials. There are many graves that are miss-located and miss-marked.
