She was a resident of Mooresville, IN. She was born Dec 25, 1937 in Casey County, KY. Her parents were Jesse Cole and Flora (Allen) Pennington.
She married Jimmie D Neitzel of Mooresville on Feb 11, 1960, in Lebanon, IN. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Roger A Neitzel of Indianapolis and R Bryan Neitzel of Martinsville, IN, three daughters, Marcia E Trusty and Amanda K LaVullis, both of Mooresville, IN and Marlene G Neitzel of Indianapolis, IN; five brothers, Frank Pennington of Coal City, IN, Arvil Pennington of Cloverdale, IN, Tommy Pennington and Ennis Pennington both of Jamestown, IN and Charlie Pennington of Lebanon, IN; three sisters, Artilla Williams of Franklin, IN, Marcella Luckey and Fern Barringer, both of Jamestown, IN. 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded by a brother Alivn Pennington and a grandson Troy Neitzel.
She was a self-employed farmer and was also employed for 27 years by Mooresville Consolidated School Corp, as a bus driver, retiring in 1999. She was a founding member of St Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville, IN. She was a volunteer tax preparer for AARP and had been a 4-H leader for 25 years.
Father Ed Ripperger will conduct a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at St Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville, IN. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm today at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township, Greenwood, Johnson Co IN.
