Lt. and Mrs. Angelo Albano
Lt. Corable L, Abshire, daughter of Mrs. Theora Abshire of Pax, W. Va., and Lt. Angelo A. Albano, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Albano of 388 South Poplar street, this city, were married May 12 in the Ss. Patrick and George's church of England with Rev. Father Duggan officiating. The bride, who was given in marriage by Capt. Hargett, Lt. Albano's commanding officer, wore her army nurse's uniform and carried a bouquet of spring flowers. Her attendants, Lt. Mary Munson and Lt. Violet Belnak, wore their uniforms and corsages of white carnations. Lt. Frank Arnone of Jersey City, N. J., was the best man and Lt. James Steltenpohl was the usher. Sgt. Berger played the organ during the ceremony and Major Sedan sang "Ave Maria." After the marriage, a reception was held at the officers' lounge for which the Red Cross baked a cake. After a brief honeymoon in the country, the couple resumed their duties in their respective unite.
