Geneva Arp
Whiteville - Mrs. Geneva Arp, 85, of 525 Cypress Street, Brunswick, died Wednesday in Columbus County Hospital. She was born in South Carolina, the Daughter of the late Alva and Viola Lane Causey. She was the widow of the late Carson Arp. She was the Star Route mail carrier for Columbus and Brunswick counties, retiring after 40 years. She was a member of the Brunswick Presbyterian Church and formerly served as a Sunday School teacher.
Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2000 at Peacock's Chapel in the Pines by Rev. Ralph Gore. Interment will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Herman R. Harrelson of Brunswick; two daughters, Sadie Ward of Whiteville and Jean Daniels of Melbourne, FL; a brother E.J. Causey of Goodland, FL; two sister, Mare Ward of Kisimmee, FL and Reba Wilson of Raeford; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2000 at Peacock's Chapel in The Pines.
