Col. (Ret.) Kimberly Brabson, 91, of Elkton, died on July 28, 2008. Decorated World War II Veteran, Career Military Infantry Officer. He was born at Fort Myers on Jan. 2, 1917.
Beloved husband of his wife; father of three children, two daughters and a son.
Survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Educated at UVA and numerous military schools, Col. Brabson began his service in the United States Army, rising from a private to Colonel during his 33 years of service.
In 1944 he was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in battle.
Colonel Brabson moved to Elkton, Va., in 1967 and in 1972 finished his military career as the Advisor to the 116th infantry Regiment in Staunton, Va.
An avid hunter with numerous big game trophies, and his exceptional woodworking talent has produced a home filled with many wonderful things.
Contribution in his memory may be made to Grace Memorial Episcopal Church or the Cancer Foundation of America.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church on Aug. 2, 2008, at 2 p.m.
Interment will be later in Arlington National Cemetery.
