Connie died young, from a form of Pleurisy. She had 2 Children, Glenn & Catherine, that her parents raised to adulthood.

After Connie's death, her husband abandoned their two children (children found in the 1930 Census with Grand Parents). Family lore, is Pat moved to Maryland and changed his name to Fred Ross.
Pat returned to NC a couple years prior to his death, for family to take care of him. He died broke at age 57, and his son Glenn paid for his funeral and marker. Glenn was upset, that the marker was engraved incorrectly - Pat's birth year was 1897, but engrave 1879.
