Lydia W. Lockerman, 79, passed away April 28, 2010, peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness at Ocean 14, Jacksonville Beach, where she was a resident for many years with her late husband of 57 years, Paul S. Lockerman, Jr.
Lydia was partner with her husband in Mayfair Opticians and enjoyed working with her sons daily throughout her life and visiting with the customers of many years.
She loved the time spent with her daughter as they traveled, cooked and shared lots of laughter. Her grandchildren were a special delight and she loved the long term friendships and serving on the Board of Lighthouse Church.
Family members include Sons, Jonathan (Linda), David (Debbie) & Daniel (Elaine) Lockerman; Daughter Teena (Fiance'Kerry Roche) Strickland; Grandchildren, Jon Paul (Jenny), Joey, Allecia (Mark), Jacob, Shelby, Heather (Chris), David, Jr., Brooke, Ashley, Austin, Daryl and Chase; Great-Grandchildren Madison Frances, Markus, Lilly Ann, Alyssa & Tyler and Brothers & Sister Cleveland, Lawrence, Johnnie, Leo, Jody, Doris & Jess, Jr. & many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 7th, in the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene, 12137 Camp Creek Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32225. Interment will be held at Beaches Memorial Park followed by a lunch reception at Ocean 14 Clubhouse. Donations may be made to the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
