Eugene Leon Thomas, 91, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at NHC of Anderson.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, World War II and was wounded and captured in Italy and spent 9 months as a POW in Moosberg, Germany.
Eugene was retired as staff manager from Liberty Life Insurance.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his son, Ray Thomas, of Anderson, SC., daughter, Judy Craft, of Honea Path, SC., brother, Bill Thomas, of Honea Path, SC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Conrad Thomas and Louise (Fields) Thomas, wife, Azilee Elizabeth (Wilson) Thomas, brothers, Harold Thomas, Ray Thomas, and Ralph Thomas, sisters, Lucille (Thomas) Bell and Kathleen Thomas.
