Marguerite Burghgrave, 84, of Colona, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Family Funeral Services, Colona, with a rosary at 7:45 p.m. Interment will be in Greenview Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Mass donations or a favorite charity.

Marguerite was born Oct. 31, 1920, in Omaha, Neb., to Benjamin Harry and Lucille Gorman Crafton. She married Louis Burghgrave July 4, 1942, in Rock Island.

She worked at the B and C market, which she co-owned with her husband.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and reupholstering. She was a charter member of Colona Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar Rosary Society at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona.

Survivors (and spouses) include her husband, Louis; two daughters, Diana Crim, New Hampton, N.H., Andrea (David) Allison, East Moline; three sons, Bill (Judy) Burghgrave, Normal, Ill., Brian (Barbara) Burghgrave, Geneseo, Patrick (Karen) Burghgrave, Normal; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
