T.M. Proctor, 94, of the Canaan Community, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Woodward officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Proctor was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Addren and Addie Smoak Proctor. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. He was a retired farmer and also retired from Guess Farm Equipment.
Survivors include his wife of 70 Years, Mary Belle Dukes Proctor; three children: H.L. (Peggy) Proctor; Libby (Tom) McAlhany; Dukes (Paula) Proctor; a brother, Pete (Miriam) Proctor; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday at Canaan Baptist Church, and other times at the home 626 Banning Street, Cope.
