Virginia Dare Stonesteet Willett was a daughter of William Kurfees Stonestreet and Nora Hinson Stonestreet of Mocksville, NC. She was married to Phyleckster "Bill" Willett, Jr., who predeceased her. They were the parents of a daughter, Kay Willett Rustin of Smithfield. Virginia was educated in the Rowan County, NC schools and attended Lenoir-Rhyne College. She was a former Miss China Grove-Landis. She retired after 38 years from First Citizens Bank in Smithfield. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Service Guild; a former Girl Scout leader and member of Business and Professional Women's Club.
