MT. CARROLL—John R. Hall. 76, Woodland Township farmer and a lifelong resident of the township, died at 7:25 a.m. today at his home. He was born Feb. 5, 1877, in Woodland Township, the son of Webster and Martha (Taylor) Hall. On June 25, 1904, he married Margaret Freseman.

Surviving are his widow; six sons, Lowell Hall of Shannon; Boyce, Harry, Russell and Robert Hall, all of Mt. Carroll; Donald Hall of Clinton, Ia.; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Polhill and Mrs. Adam Morhardt, both of Mt. Carroll; Mrs.
George Polhill. Savanna; one sister, Mrs. W. A. O'Hara, Pomona, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Christian funeral Home at Mt. Carroll, with Rev. O. L. Barker, pastor of the Woodland United Brethren Church, officiating.
